About Adrian

Completed in 2006, a new $6.5 million multi-sport turf stadium is the home of Adrian College Men's and Women's Soccer.
Adrian College is an NCAA Division III institution located approximately 35 miles southwest of Ann Arbor, Michigan. U.S. News and World Report lists Adrian College as one of only five baccalaureate “Schools to Watch” in the nation, and one of the Top 25 Best Baccalaureate Colleges in the Midwest. Aside from nationally recognized academic offerings, Adrian College athletic teams are also receiving national attention and tremendous community support.
Adrian College has one of the largest athletic programs in the nation, featuring 26 teams and an unparalleled commitment to competitive excellence. In the past year alone, four teams have been nationally ranked: baseball, softball, men’s ice hockey, and women’s ice hockey.
Ali Alamdari – Head Coach, Women’s Soccer
Coach Alamdari led the 2009 Bulldogs to a record of 11-6-2, ending the season ranked #10 in the NSCAA DIII Central Region. Adrian finished the year as the MIAA Runners-Up, and saw four players honored with All-MIAA nominations, including NSCAA All-Central Region nominee Lindsay Chitwood who led the MIAA in scoring in 2009.
In Coach Alamdari’s first year in charge in 2008, the Bulldogs posted a record of 10-6-3 including the school’s first ever berth in the MIAA Tournament Semifinals. Out of 424 NCAA DIII Women’s Soccer programs, Adrian College was ranked the 12th Most Improved Program nationally in 2008.
Prior to joining Adrian, Coach Alamdari was an assistant coach for Albion College for two years, helping the team to a 25-7-6 overall record and culminating with the 2007 MIAA Tournament Championship. He also served as the Women’s Head Coach for Loy Norrix High School in Kalamazoo, Michigan and Goalkeeper Coach for Portage Northern High School in Portage, Michigan. Coach Alamdari is licensed by the NSCAA and USSF, and holds a Master of Arts degree in Performance Driven Leadership from Western Michigan University.
Chris LeFevre – Head Coach, Men’s Soccer
Upon Coach LeFevre’s arrival at Adrian College in 2009, the Men’s Soccer program has seen significant change and positive growth. With 14 new players, LeFevre’s 2009 squad posted a 5 game improvement over the 2008 Bulldogs, and Freshman Forward Cazz Warren led the MIAA in scoring under his direction.
Coach LeFevre came to Adrian College from Division I Binghamton University in New York. The Bearcats posted a 12-6-3 record in his season as an assistant coach and advanced to the America East Conference Finals.
Coach LeFevre also spent three seasons at Genesee (N.Y.) Community College, where he went 41-16-1 as the head coach from 2005 through 2007. He led his squad to the Western New York Athletic Conference titles in 2006 and 2007 and reached the NJCAA Regional Semifinals. Prior to his time at Genesee, Coach LeFevre was a graduate assistant coach at Division I Canisius College during the 2004 season. Coach LeFevre is licensed by the NSCAA and holds a Master of Science degree in Sports Administration from Canisius College.
